Stückemarkt presents new voices from across the world, selected by an international jury of artists and featuring dramatic texts as well as performances. With the theme “Against Separation”, Stückemarkt searched for works that explore the concept of solidarity from a perspective of art and aesthetics.

The International Forum is a platform for global collaboration, the initial spark for collaboration, alliances and the search for an aesthetic movement. 35 young artists from all continents ask one question: What does it mean to make progressive art in the 21st century?

Stages Unboxed
In cooperation with the Academy for Theatre and Digitality and the Digital Dramaturgy, Theatertreffen will present four productions that demonstrate which digital forms of theatre have been trend-setting over the past 18 months. The programme will be complemented by four episodes of the podcast “Perspectives Unboxed” which you can still listen to after the festival. Focus Living Theatre
On the occasion of Berliner Festspiele’s 70th anniversary, there will be a new edition of the Theatertreffen-format “Focus”. It will be dedicated to the New York Living Theatre, a company that has been a pioneer of post-dramatic theatre and whose guest performances of “Frankenstein”, “The Maids” and “Mysteries” at the 1966 Berliner Festwochen have left lasting traces on Berliner Festspiele, too.

TT Context
The discursive event format TT Context focuses and concentrates issues that emerge within the framework of the Theatertreffen-programme. The topics include questions located at the interfaces of art, society and the cultural sector, which are addressed and explored across the disciplines.
